9:18 in Raleigh and Barack Obama just emphasized the unity of the Democratic party and that his supporters would support Hillary and vice-versa. I think this is an excellent move on his part ot pressure Hillary and perhaps a sign that the bottom of the ticket may be open for Hillary.

If nothing else the Democratic Primary is a godsend for Rush Limbaugh with the MSM feeding him all kinds of free publicity regarding the hilarious “Operation Chaos“. We may see some effects tonight:

Who is it that will ultimately sink Barack’s vision quest? Bill Ayers? Jeremiah Wright? No…it will ultimately be his bitter and angry wife. The more the country sees of this entitled and angry woman the less they will like her and it will stick to BO. Hitchens makes the case that it is Michelle that probably kept BO in Wright’s pews for all those years. Watch the video and read the article and try to figure out why this lady is so damn angry.

Barack sure can pick ‘em… This guy is pondscum.
Let us be perfectly clear, this is more than a guy that lives in the same neighborhood as BO, he threw BO’s first fundraiser back in 1995. If you are at all familiar with politics you know that someone that patronizes your candidacy by hosting a fundrasier does so for a reason. And just as Ayers saw in Barack something he liked and wanted to go out of his way to support so too should Barack have been familiar with this helping hand (just like Rezko).
At best Barack Obama is a terrible judge of character. I think the reality is that he knew exactly who Ayers was and is and that those radical views were not incommensurate with his own. There seems to be too many instances of delayed cognitive dissonance with Barack Obama.

MARTIN COUNTY — An evening at a local adult nightclub turned into a morning of problems for a Stuart man after a stripper he brought home stole his car, according to a Sheriff’s Office report released Monday.
Officials say the suspect, 25-year-old Cara Mallow, was arrested Saturday and charged with grand theft auto just hours after the incident was reported.
The man told investigators he met Mallow on Friday night while she was dancing at the Paper Moon club. When the bar closed, he said Mallow said she had no place to spend the night and asked whether she could stay with him. The man, who said he was intoxicated, agreed to her request, according to the report.
Officials said Mallow used the man’s car to drive him back to his home, where he and the woman had sex and fell asleep. The man awoke in the morning to find the suspect gone and his car keys missing, teh report states.
When he opened the front door, he saw Mallow backing his 1999 Volkswagen Passat out of the driveway, according to the report.
The man said he had not given the woman permission to use his car, so he ran after it, banging on the trunk and telling her to stop. However, she was able to drive away.
The man told deputies he attempted to chase after his car in another vehicle, but lost sight of it when the suspect made a U-turn to head north on U.S. 1.
The man told investigators he was missing more than $150 as well as his cell phone and wallet, both of which were in the vehicle. He could not remember the suspect’s name, and refused medical treatment for numerous abrasions he received when he fell chasing the vehicle.
Soon after the report was made, St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office deputies pulled Mallow over for reckless driving and an equipment violation. They released her, but were later advised the vehicle was stolen, the report says.
They were able to find the vehicle in the 8700 block of U.S. 1 in Port St. Lucie, where the suspect was arrested and taken to the St. Lucie County Jail.

Mr. Rich has an opinion piece today that underscores the silliness that is the New York Times. Rich attempts to associate McCain with Hagee in the same manner as Wright is associated with Obama. The only problem is that McCain does not have a 20 year relationship with Hagee and all that other specialness that Obama shared with Wright until 5 minutes ago. Rich then lambasts the Republican Party for its lack of black members in the House and Senate. He does not bother to discuss the attacks that conservative blacks must endure at the hands of the left, the victim-orientation of the democrats, the destructiveness of identity politics, and does nothing to advance the discussion of race for which he expresses a desire.

I was thinking about Barack Obama, Jeremiah Wright, and his current situation and how he is playing it and I cannot help but think he squandered his potential to be a transformative leader on the issue of race. It could have happened, and should have, after the first snippets of the Reverend Wright came out…instead Barack gave his bs speach and the media swooned. After Reverend Wright’s Press Club performance Obama had no choice but to put distance between the thoughts and philosophy of Wright and himself. Obama went further though, he put distance between himself and the man that was a mentor and spiritual advisor for 20 years. He ran away from someone who, by all acounts, seemed to be a father figure to him.
What Barack Obama failed to do is to take the opportunity to illuminate black liberation theology and why it was relevant to the struggle Jeremiah Wright was engaged in and why it is not relvant to his current struggle. He had the opportunity to really be the post-racial candidate and he fumbled. I’m not sure if it was fear or just political lust that got the better of him. I do know that had he engaged the public in a genuine discourse on the emancipation of blacks in the United States due in part to those proponents of liberation theology and the subsequent perpetuation of victimology that is the current impediment to progress for blacks it would have been a powerful moment. The solution became the problem. Al Sharpton. Jesse Jackson. Jeremiah Wright.
Imagine if Barack Obama gave a speach that spoke about liberation theology and the context in which it was created. If he talked about it honestly, the rage and the desparation, the struggle for humanity from a critical perspective, we could have moved forward. He fumbled. He could have embraced his friend of twenty years with understanding and explained how the Reverend’s views were part of the past and outlined what we need to do to move forward. Instead Obama acted like a coward and lost a friend and a chance.
I don’t think he can recover. Sure, Barack Obama can go on to get the nomination and perhaps be President but he will not be a great man, he will just be another opportunistic politician. He could have been a statesman.
